The Pastor’s Daily Minute Vol.4

Rev. Doug Godfrey

Monday, March 25, 2024 --- Luke 23: 20-21

0 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

Thought of The Day: Pilate wanted to release Him, but the people got caught up in there emotions and the frenzy of moment. The world can cause you to have a momentary lapse in judgement.  As you start this day look to God for guidance and direction.  Don’t allow people or the moment to influence your feeling / relationship with God.

Tuesday, March 26, 2024 --- Luke 23:

34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Thought Of The Day: The Lord went to the Father for those men that had crucify Him.  Jesus sought forgiveness for the soldiers that had nailed Him to the cross.  Even in the moments of pain and suffering our focus should be on God.  We should never hold back forgiveness for anyone in life.  In your life no one has ever been put you though the pain and suffering that Christ went through only to offer forgiveness to us.

Wednesday, March 27, 2024 ---Philippians 4: 4-5

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Thought Of The Day:  We can cheer for our favorite sports team and we love to talk about them as well.  I think we should spend more time acknowledge Christ than all the sport teams.  We should be more excited about who Christ is in our lives than who we are playing on Saturday or Sunday.  We should be raising our voices to praise God and not the world.  As you walk through life today praise God.

Thursday, March 28, 2024 --- Philippians 4:13

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Thought Of The Day:  This verse in the Bible is the most quoted verse by a lot of young people today.  The verse really can be split into two parts for us to understand.  The first part is simple if we live by faith.  We can do all things.  We all have abilities that God has given us in your lives. However, the second part of the verse is the key formula for success in our lives.  This part tells us that God is the one that supplies our strength to do those things in life.  God is the fuel that we need to live and guide our lives each day.

Friday, March 29, 2024 --- Matthew 26: 26-27

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

Thought Of The Day: The Lord’s Supper is a moment that should be done in reverence and honor.  The supper is a constant reminder of His body that was broken and the blood that He shred for our sins. As this morning dawns on you take a moment to reflect on just what He did to save you from your sins.

Saturday, March 30, 2024 --- Matthew 26:41

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Thought Of The Day: As this day starts remember the words of the Lord to be on the watch for temptations in life.  Satan is set up his traps and is looking to bring you down today.  You must be focused on the Lord and constantly in prayer to avoid Satan traps today. Take time to pray and stay on the course for Christ today.  The spirit is willing to lead you, but the faith is often times weak in our lives.  Prayer can make you stronger today.
