Little Mountain Baptist Church

Little Mountain Baptist Church was established 82 years ago and has been a beacon of light in the community ever since that time.  I am proud to be the 9th Pastor to serve this great congregation.  I am currently in my 28th year in the ministry and my 6th year as Pastor of Little Mountain Baptist Church.  The motto of LMBC is "Seek His Will" - Deut 4:29.  We want to be focused on Christ in every circumstance in life. I am married to Amy Godfrey who is a teacher in Greenville County Schools. We have three children: Morgan and Preston lives in Inman with our new beautiful granddaughter Hadley, Sam and his wife Lexi  live in Inman with our beautiful granddaughter Macie, and Luke is active playing both basketball and baseball for his school and on his travel team.   I am a proud veteran of Desert Shield/Storm having served in the United Stated Marine Corps.

I have been a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church for the last 25 years.  I serve as the Chaplain of Holly Springs Fire Department.  I am blessed to serve as a Deacon as well at Little Mountain Baptist Church. I am bless to have been ordained and licensed in the ministry by this church.  For the last three years I have served as the Associate Pastor of Little Mountain Baptist Church.  I strive daily to do what God leads me to do in life and help bring His word to this world as He guides me.  I have been married to my wife Kim for the last 26 years and we have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

We are currently accepting resumes for a part-time Minister of Students position.  We are seeking a person that can lead our youth and children in growing closer to God.  This person will teach the youth on Sunday and Wednesday nights. I was born in Spartanburg County and have lived here all my 56 years.  I enjoy spending time with my wife Melody and our 4 fur babies, fishing, bowling and golfing.  Together Melody and I have 5 children and 12 grandchildren all under the age of 10.  My love for music began at the age of 5 when I would stand up in a chair behind the pulpit and sing.  Most of my adult life I have enjoyed leading music in several local churches and traveling with Gospel groups.  In 2019 God blessed me and Melody with an amazing church family at Little Mountain Baptist Church.
