The Pastor’s Daily Minute Vol.5

Rev. Doug Godfrey

Monday, April 1, 2024 --- Luke 24; 1-2 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

Thought of the Day: God open the door for us to come unto Him. Will you use this day to go to God in prayer, Bible Study and Spiritual growth in your life. God not only opened the door, but he left it open for you to come unto Him this day. Will you go see talk to Him today.

Tuesday, April 2, 2024 --- Luke 24:3-53 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

Thought of the Day: The empty tomb serves as a constant reminder of the power of God. The power of God to forgive you of your sins and to give you life eternal. Today is a great time to celebrate the Jesus. The song Victory in Jesus is a great reflection of this great passage in the Bible. You have victory because of that empty tomb.

Wednesday, April 3, 2024 --- John 20: 11-1311 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him

Thought of the Day: Let you heart be comforted today with knowledge and love. God knows that there will be times in your life when you will need strength. Just as Mary needed strength and encouragement here in this passage. You can rest ensure that God will provide you with comfort and knowledge in those moments as well.

Thursday, April 4, 2024 --- Mark 16:5-75 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

Thought of the Day: This passage should bring encouragement into your lives today. This passage is a reminder that even know you might have failed Christ from time to time He still loves us. You are the reason that He went through all the pain and suffering to give you a better life.

Friday, April 6, 2024 --- John 21: 3-43 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

Thought of the Day: As you start this day remember to walk with God. If you walk under your on power you want accomplish very much of nothing. However: if you walk under God power you will overcome much in life today.

Saturday, April 7,2024 --- John 21:1717 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Thought of the Day: How much do you love God. Are you following this will for your life each day. How would you answer this question from for God. How much have you feed the lambs and sheep of God? If you have not been feeding them then today is a good day to start.
